DSL SETTINGS ON WINDOWS XP
1) Click on Start.
2) Click on Control Panel.
3) Click on Network Connections.
4) Double Click the Local Area Connection icon.
 
If you do not see this icon, your Network Interface
Card may not be properly installed. Get Help.
5) Click on the Properties button.
 
A new box will appear.
6) In the middle of the box, find Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
and high-light that.
 
Click the Properties Button.
7) A new box will appear.
 
Make sure Obtain an IP Address Automatically is selected.
 
Select Use the Following DNS server addresses and then
 
type : 66.51.205.100
 
66.51.206.100
8) Click on the Advanced button toward the bottom of this display.
9) A new box will appear.
 
Under IP addresses, it should have DCHP enabled.
Under Default Gateway, it should be blank.
Update those if they are different.
10) Select the DNS tab at the top of this box.
 
There are two boxes - DNS server addresses in order of use
and Append these DNS suffixes (in order) - and they should
both be empty.
 
If not - select the entries and click the associated REMOVE button.
11) Toward the bottom of this display is Register This Connection's
Addresses - make sure to UNCHECK this.
12) Select the WINS tab at the top. A new box will display.
 
Make sure the WINS addresses, in order of use box is
empty. Otherwise, select the entries and click REMOVE.
13) Click OK to close this box.
14) Click OK to close the TCP/IP settings box.
15) Click Close to close the Local Area Connection box.
16) Windows may copy some files and ask to restart your computer.
 
Click Yes to do so and you are finished.
