Hackers and spammers find their way onto servers and send out spam and viruses.
Since we are often unable to distinguish who at that Internet Provider is spamming, we cease accepting any e-mails from those servers.
Innocent users are also on those servers, and some of them may be people who you wish to have e-mails from.
When you send an e-mail to a person or business, we white-list
that e-mail address for you.
That is the fastest method to white list an e-mail address.
It takes about 1 hour to complete the white listing process,
starting when you send the e-mail out.
Sometimes - for group mailing lists, subscriptions to news or groups,
and some special locations -
we still will have incoming e-mails blocked that you are wanting.
Then - you or the party sending you the e-mail should contact us.
There should have been a message in the e-mail that was bounced back to them asking them to contact abuse@vcoms.net to resolve the issue.
We know there are sometimes innocent people caught while we are trying to reduce the spam sent to our customers, and provide this error message so they can contact us to let their future e-mails through.
If any of your friends, family, business contacts let you know
their e-mails were bounced back,
ask them to send an e-mail to
abuse@vcoms.net and to let us know who they are trying to e-mail.
The e-mail they send us has information at the top of the e-mail - The Headers - that give us much more information on where they are coming from on the Internet and how to clear them.
We will investigate anyone who sends an e-mail to
abuse@vcoms.net and asks to have their e-mails sent through.
We will let you know if we white list someone, and will let
them know to resend any past e-mails once the process is complete.
