1) Bring up Outlook Express. If it is not on your desktop,
look at Start - Programs and you should find it.
THE E-MAIL PROGRAM ON VISTA MACHINES IS CALLED WINDOWS MAIL.
It is a different but similar e-mail program from Microsoft.
The settings are generally in the same order and items are
called the same names.
2) Click on TOOLs at top of Outlook Express.
Click on OPTIONS toward bottom of list.
3) Click on CONNECTION tab.
4) Hang up After Sending and Receiving should be clear/unchecked. Fix this if necessary.
5) If you had to make any changes - click APPLY at the bottom of the screen.
6) See if that has fixed the problem.
