1) Bring up Outlook Express. If it is not on your desktop,
look at Start - Programs and you should find it.
 
THE E-MAIL PROGRAM ON VISTA MACHINES IS CALLED WINDOWS MAIL.
 
It is a different but similar e-mail program from Microsoft.
 
The settings are generally in the same order and items are
called the same names.
2) Click on TOOLs at top of Outlook Express.
 
Click on Accounts toward bottom of list.
3) Click on Mail tab.
4) In the large box - where the accounts are show - make sure the vcoms.net account is high-lighted.
5) Click the Properties button to the right.
6) Click on the Server Tab.
7) Incoming mail server is POP3. Verify you have the following :
 
Incoming mail server name : vcoms.net
 
Outgoing mail server (SMTP) : vcoms.net
 
Update if necessary.
8) Incoming Mail Server information. Verify the following :
 
Account name :
 
Your account name is the first part of your
e-mail address - someone@vcoms.net - just the "someone" part.
 
Password : (your password here)
 
Remember password should be checked.
 
Uncheck/leave clear Log On Using Secure Password Authentication.
 
Update if necessary.
9) If you had to make any changes - click APPLY at the bottom of the screen.
10) See if that has fixed the problem.
